Malachi 4:1-6 WEBUS
““For behold, the day comes, burning like a furnace, when all the proud and all who work wickedness will be stubble. The day that comes will burn them up,” says Yahweh of Armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall. You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make,” says Yahweh of Armies. “Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.””
We have heard this scripture many times and sometimes in the quoting we miss the full context. The context is a background of warfare. The “last day of Yahweh”, “that great and terrible day.”
In a war there is a mindset that must be passed from Fathers to Sons. It is love. We wage war in love and not hate and unforgiveness. Love and Forgiveness is a powerful Dunamis weapon. As we advance the Kingdom in love displayed and demonstrated as joy, peace, goodness, gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, Patience and self- control, victory is ours. These doctrines of the kingdom, in the last of war, are critical. During the “heat of the battle, leadership is critical. The fathers raising sons in love communicate the kingdom by their actions and words, not just a one set man or commander but the full family of fathers in the tribe, company or Army of servants leaders and as they pass orders in the battle. The orders are passed so that communication will reach everyone to move as One. Thus these critical orders will help us survive and press on to victory rather than falling in the battle. Let us love one another as Christ loved us. No more spiritual war orphans.
