Subtitle; The  Hidden Treasures of the Kingdom

This is  about the nature of the Kingdom. Compared to the world’s system,  does the Kingdom of God function? Those treasures, the hidden gems are there right in front of you.

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.Matt.13:44

The Treasure in the Field

The Seeking Merchant

One method of “banking” money in ancient times was to bury it. Jesus uses this in His parable. The treasure in the field is a picture of our salvation and the glory of God’s love for us and what we mean to Him (1 John 3:1-2).

The Man

The Lord Jesus took on human form (Philippians 2:6-8). He is called the “Son of Man”.

The Field

The field is a picture of the world (Matthew 13:38)

The Treasure

Hidden in the field (the world) is something very precious to God - all of those who are lost but whose hearts cry out to know Him.

Sold all He Had

In his great joy at finding the treasure he sells all he has in order to get it. The Lord Jesus left His glory in Heaven and gave His all for us. He experienced our depth of suffering and separation from His Father in order to gain us (Mark 15:34; Hebrews 12:2).

Bought the Field

“...you were bought at a price” 1 Cor.6:20.

Jesus said this is what the Kingdom of Heaven is like...it is filled with God’s “treasure”...that which He loves above all... “the ‘apple’ of His eye” (Deuteronomy 32:10)...His beloved ones...the “many sons” brought into glory (Hebrews 2:10). We are His “inheritance”. Ephesians 1:18...

“I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints...”

able items. He pictures men and women who are looking for what will give them fulfilment and pleasure in life.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” Matthew 5:6.

The Pearl of Great Price

A pearl is formed when a piece of grit gets into the oyster’s shell. It is formed through suffering. The pearl of great price is the Lord Jesus Christ who suffered on the Cross for us. The gates of Heaven are made of pearl (Rev.21:21), again speaking of the Lord Jesus. He is the only entry into the presence of God.

“Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Fa- ther except through me” John 14:6 (Acts 4:12).

Sells all He Has

Jesus said this is what the Kingdom of Heaven is like...it is filled with people who love Him above all things, who are willing to surrender everything in order to know Him and have Him in their lives.

“What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ” Phil.3:8.

Possesses the Pearl

The Lord is centre of the lives and hearts of the people of the Kingdom (Colossians 3:1-2; 2 Corinthians 4:18).

Folks there is inkh one treaure His name is Yeshua (Jesus), “Yahweh our savior redeemer!”Our King is worthy, honor Him alone!
