“Going to Guns” by Dave Bessey

I just heard “Going to Guns!” We have just expended our load of Precision Guided Munitions or (PGMs) and now like a fighter pilot we are going to our 20 or 30mm Gatling guns.,These are last resort not the smart bombs guided by lasers or GPS or Infrared or guided (IR).,” The issue I believe is that we have dumped our load on a wrong target which is not our true enemy. We hit the wrong target or we were not skilled enough through to actually do the mission. Spiritually we attack each other or ourselves. We use every ounce of our spiritual ordinance on people who are not even our enemies. We become jealous and envious of each other rather than supporting and ministering to each other. We tear each other down. We expend our payload and then go to guns as the last chance to hurt those who hurt us. We exact revenge and yet it actually hurts us even more. We shoot our own wing off. How can we soar as the Church if we destroy each other. Love heals and does not cut off. So if you are going to guns, it may be too late to mend those relationships. The first step is to get right with God. Heal and then go heal others. If God is love are we loving? And if we do have to pull the trigger always do it love.
